Asian Dub Foundation is returning to Belgrade after seven years

The legendary British hip-hop/dub/ragga/punk band Asian Dub Foundation will perform on November 16 at Dorcol Platz in Belgrade, organized by the promoter Long Play.

The popular ADF is returning to the Serbian capital after seven years. In the meantime, they have further solidified their long-established reputation in Serbia by performing at several leading festivals.

The most recent was this year’s Arsenal Fest in Kragujevac, where they played to an ecstatic audience on the main stage.

Therefore, it’s no wonder that ADF guitarist Steve Chandra Savale happily states: “Every time we come to Serbia, we strongly feel that the audience understands our songs and that our music means something to them. That’s why we look forward to every new performance in your country.”

The story of Asian Dub Foundation began in the early nineties when the band was formed out of a music workshop in East London, in their spiritual home, Community Music.

These beginnings shaped both their sound and their broader social aspirations, as demonstrated by their engagement with Roma youth in Budapest, their collaboration with the legendary Afro Reggae in the favelas of Rio, and the launch of their own educational organization, ADF Education (ADFED), as well as numerous campaigns on behalf of marginalized social groups.

Throughout their career, Asian Dub Foundation has shared the stage with groups such as Rage Against The Machine, Beastie Boys, and Primal Scream. The list of artists they have collaborated with in the studio includes Radiohead, Sinead O’Connor, Iggy Pop, and Chuck D. To date, they have released nine studio albums, the latest being “Access Denied” in 2020.

Tickets for the Asian Dub Foundation concert at Dorćol Platz are on sale for 3,000 dinars and can be purchased HERE.
