Asian Dub Foundation announced a compilation of duets before their concert at Dorcol Platz
The legendary British hip-hop/dub/ragga/punk band Asian Dub Foundation, which will perform on November 16 at Dorcol Platz in Belgrade, organized by the Long Play promotion agency, announced today the album “94-Now: Collaborations.” This compilation features 11 tracks that ADF has created over the past three decades with other renowned artists such as Iggy Pop, Sinéad O’Connor, Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien, and the band Primal Scream.
Guitarist Steve Chandra Savale eloquently describes the band’s career as “a dream that has lasted 30 years.”
Regarding the compilation, he says: “We’ve been thinking about this for a long time, and now is the right time. The album showcases the band in full strength.”
When asked about working with Sinéad O’Connor and how he would describe her, Steve responds: “We only met briefly during the recording and argued over food. I never really talked to her; I was too in awe. I still can’t believe she sang a song for which I was the primary author.”
The collaboration with Iggy Pop came about from “a chance meeting in Croatia,” while Ed O’Brien, as Steve mentions, is a big ADF fan.
“He invited us to open for his band in 2003. We played together on three tracks on our album ‘Enemy of the Enemy’ (2003).”
He also fondly recalls an anecdote with Iggy: “He once called to say he got a speeding ticket while listening to a demo of our track.”
Steve is the only original member who has been with the band for all 30 years and plays on every song on this album.
“For me, it’s a wonderful thing, a testament to how far I’ve come with the group.”
Asian Dub Foundation has proven time and again their love for Serbia, and their spectacular performance at this year’s Arsenal Festival in Kragujevac will be remembered.

They are returning to Belgrade after seven years, so there’s no doubt the eager audience at Dorcol Platz will quickly be dancing and singing along to “Stand Up,” “Fortress Europe,” and “Rebel Warrior.”
The price for a single ticket for the ADF concert on November 16 at Dorcol Platz is 3,000 dinars, and those who buy two tickets will receive a third one for free.
