Profesor Čonta i Patka

Profesor Čonta i Patka is a band led by Nebojša Čonkić – Čonta, the original vocalist of the cult punk group Pekinška Patka from Novi Sad. This lineup continues the legacy of Patka, performing their most iconic songs with the same authentic energy and spirit that marked the Yugoslav punk scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Throughout his career, Čonta has successfully balanced his dual identity as both an electrical engineering professor and a punk musician, which has only added to his legendary status. While Pekinška Patka has had several reunions over the years, Čonta continues to perform under the name “Profesor Čonta i Patka” due to legal reasons.
The band is known for high-energy performances and faithful renditions of punk anthems such as “Bolje da nosim kratku kosu” (“Better to Have Short Hair”), “Biti ružan, pametan i mlad” (“To Be Ugly, Smart, and Young”), and “Bela šljiva” (“White Plum”), which remain iconic songs of the regional punk movement. Their shows are more than concerts—they are punk celebrations that bring together generations of fans.
Profesor Čonta i Patka continue to spread the punk message, proving that authenticity and a rebellious spirit know no age. Their appearance at Arsenal Fest will be a chance for the audience to experience the essence of the domestic punk scene in its purest form.
