Napalm Death

Napalm Death is a British extreme metal band formed in 1981 in Birmingham. They are widely regarded as pioneers of the grindcore genre, which combines elements of hardcore punk and extreme metal, characterized by extremely fast playing, very short songs, and strongly socially engaged lyrics.
During their early years, the band went through numerous lineup changes, but their debut album Scum became one of the most influential releases in the history of extreme music. The album features the track You Suffer, which, lasting just over one second, entered the Guinness World Records as the shortest song ever recorded.
Throughout their career, Napalm Death continued to evolve their sound with albums such as From Enslavement to Obliteration, Harmony Corruption, and Utopia Banished, blending grindcore with elements of death metal and industrial music. Their songs often address political and social issues such as inequality, war, capitalism, and human rights.
Despite frequent lineup changes, the band has remained one of the most influential and long-lasting acts on the extreme metal scene. The current lineup includes vocalist Mark Barney Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris, and drummer Danny Herrera.
With more than four decades of career behind them, Napalm Death remains synonymous with extreme speed, intensity, and uncompromising social commentary, leaving a major influence on the development of grindcore and extreme metal worldwide.
