Osvajači

Osvajači will perform on the Main Stage of Arsenal Fest on June 27.

ABOUT THE PERFORMER

The band was formed in 1990 by vocalist Zvonko Pantović Čipi, guitarist Dragan Urošević, keyboardist Nebojša Jakovljević, bassist Saša Popović, and drummer Miša Raca. Bassist Dejan Dačović and keyboardist Laza Ristovski were also involved in the band, with Ristovski handling production and occasionally performing with Osvajači.

On their first two albums, “Krv i led” (1990) and “Sam” (1995), they introduced a glam metal sound, with their ballads “Možda nebo zna” and “S kim čekaš dan” achieving the most success. After releasing the compilation “The Best Of” in 1997, Osvajači disbanded. Following the recording of the song “Vino crveno” with the band Prvi Čin, Pantović founded the band Osvajači Ol Stars, which was soon joined by Jakovljević.

Osvajači resumed work in 1999 with a new lineup, consisting of Urošević and Popović (who played rhythm guitar in this version of the band), along with vocalist Nenad Jovanović, bassist Saša Marković, and drummer Nenad Branković. After releasing a promo single featuring “Samo ti” and “Minut ćutanja”, they recorded the album Vrelina, which included a cover of Rainbow’s “Rainbow Eyes”, adapted into Serbian as “Tragovi”. However, Osvajači disbanded again in 2000, and in 2003, Jovanović joined the hard rock band Stratus.

In 2005, Pantović and Urošević reunited Osvajači once again.
