Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, with his band Dogstar where he plays bass guitar, is the first confirmed act for Arsenal Fest 2024! The festival will take place from June 27th to 29th at the Knezev Arsenal in Kragujevac.

Planetary superstar, a charmer who has been captivating for decades, not only with his acting and looks but also with his approachability, humility, and humanity, will present to the people of Kragujevac, as well as undoubtedly to numerous guests from the country and the region, the lesser-known but very significant musical side of his personality.

Dogstar, an alternative band from Los Angeles, besides Reeves, consisting singer and guitarist Bret Domrose, drummer Robert Mailhouse, resumed activity last year after a two-decade hiatus, releasing their third album, “Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees,” through their independent label “Dillon Street Records.

The first two releases, “Our Little Visionary” and “Happy Ending”, were released in 1996 and 2000, respectively. Dogstar was formed in 1991, but four years later the original vocalist and guitarist, Greg Miler, left the band. His role was then taken over by Bret Domrouz, who had previously been the backing vocalist.

Keanu Reeves was a rising Hollywood star in the early days of the band, and now he returns to it as one of the biggest actors in the world for the last thirty years.

In his rich career, he has stacked numerous blockbusters – “The Matrix,” “Speed,” “John Wick,” “Point Break,” “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Dark City,” “My Own Private Idaho”…

On the occasion of Dogstar’s return to the scene, he said that getting the band back together had been on his mind for a long time: “I missed our songwriting together, the concerts… All three of us said – let’s do this, let’s record an album. For me, Dogstar is a passion that I’ve returned to with enthusiasm after all these years.”

The 14th edition of Arsenal Fest will gather 60 performers from Serbia, the region, and the world, on three stages. This year, the festival will once again be held at full capacity, thanks to the completed renovation of the chimney in the Knezev Arsenal space.
