Joker Out, La Femme, and The Hu at Arsenal Fest 2025!

The lineup for Arsenal Fest 2025, which will be held from June 26th to 28th at the Knezev Arsenal in Kragujevac, has been enriched with three more names. Along with the already announced global stars Faithless, the festival will welcome fan favorites from the region: Slovenian band Joker Out, French crossover band La Femme, and Mongolian folk-metal band The Hu.

Joker Out return to Arsenal after just two years, which is no surprise as they caused an enormous wave of excitement and mass sing-alongs, particularly from younger audiences, in 2023. The band was formed in 2016, and their wide popularity came with their Eurovision performance in 2023 with the song “Carpe Diem.” The band, who sings in both Slovenian and Serbian, previously released the albums “Umazane misli” (2021) and “Demoni” (2022). In their song “New Wave,” they were joined by the legendary global star Elvis Costello. In November 2024, they presented their third album, “Souvenir Pop,” which had already been teased with two big hits, “Sta bih ja” and “Bluza.” Year after year, Joker Out’s popularity has grown across the former Yugoslavia, and undeniable confirmation of this will come at the 15th edition of Arsenal Fest.

La Femme will return to Serbia, this time in Kragujevac, a little over a year after their highly successful concert in Belgrade. The famous website Pitchfork described them as “probably the biggest French rock band right now.” The group was founded in 2010 by guitarist Sacha Got and keyboardist Marlon Magnee. Their sound blends various genres—punk, jazz, country, funk… They come from Biarritz, a town in the south of France, very close to the Spanish border, so both languages are often heard in their songs. They have released six albums so far, with their latest, Rock Machine, coming out in October 2024. They gained fame with the song “Où va le monde” from their second album Mystère.

The Hu, a band that represents a true global sensation, is coming to Serbia for the first time at Arsenal Fest. They define their style as hunnu rock. Their music is primarily based on the use of traditional Mongolian instruments such as the morin khuur and tovshuur, similar to the gusle and balalaika, but with the incorporation of a heavier sound. There are eight of them on stage, and their unique performance includes throat singing techniques, multiple drummers, and various other unconventional elements. They have released the albums The Gereg (2019) and Rumble of Thunder (2022), along with several EPs. Their journey toward a new album begins this year.

The Hu are among only 39 artists to have been named “UNESCO Artists for Peace” since 1995. They have performed at the world’s most renowned festivals, such as Glastonbury and Coachella, as well as Download and Mad Cool.
